The Role

Bud is looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our Sales & Marketing team. You will form a crucial link between our marketing activity, prospective customers, and sales team.

You will be responsible for connecting with new decision makers, developing relationships, and generating a significant percentage of the new business lead pipeline.

You will be a self-starter, motivated and focused, with a passion for sales and marketing. As the first person to hold this role within Bud, you will have the opportunity to learn from our experienced team and to shape the SDR position.

This role is brand new and would suit someone either early in their sales career or with significant prior experience in a lead generation role.
A passion for technology, especially EdTech would be a distinct advantage, along with the ability to collaborate with multiple teams, solve problems and communicate with a broad range of prospective customers.


Key Activities & Responsibilities

  • Prospect and generate new leads.
  • Work closely with our Digital Marketing Manager to maximise campaigns.
  • Collaborate closely with our team of Business Development Managers (BDMs) to establish a “go-to-market” plan, including target companies, target contacts, and tailored messaging.
  • Find decision-makers within target accounts using a variety of tools and tactics.
  • Initiate conversations with decision-makers and qualify leads for importance and readiness.
  • Manage inbound leads, score and qualify them for relevance.
  • Handle large volumes of contact via email, social media, phone and video conferencing.
  • Book and set expectations for initial meetings for our BDM team.
  • Actively listen to prospects’ needs and handle objections.
  • Achieve or exceed monthly quotas of meetings and pipeline generation.
  • Design and use outbound methods, tools, and messaging sequences to nurture decision-makers.
  • Maximise a tech-based lead generation tool stack, including Dynamics 365, LinkedIn and HubSpot.
  • Participate in regular training and informational sessions.


Experience & Skills

Your skills, experience and attitude will include:

  • Self-motivation, tenacity, and persistence.
  • Motivated in exceeding targets.
  • 1+ Year B2B SaaS sales experience, preferably in a tech business.
  • Highly organised, you will seek out methods and tools to improve lead generation, as well as increase productivity.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth, rapidly changing environment.
  • A detail-oriented, organised mindset with an ability to manage time effectively.
  • Excellent communication and creativity skills.
